Week of Oct. 16th – 20th

Mon. Oct. 16th – Reading Buddies.  Math test review given out. Students will work on in class, then bring home to finish/study.   
Tues. Oct. 17th – Library. Take up Math test review.
Wed. Oct. 18th – Phys. Ed. and Music
Thurs. Oct. 19th –  Junior Boys and Girls Soccer – We wish many of our classmates good luck!
Fri. Oct. 20th -  Phys. Ed.  Math Test Day.

- Mrs. deJong’s fault that homework duotangs did not come home tonight. They will be sent home tomorrow night. Please read and sign the first page!

- Number Sense Math Test (Place Value, Rounding, Comparing Numbers, Adding, Subtracting) – Next Friday October 20. Test review will be given out on Monday. 

- We had some more great poetry readings/presentations today! We will finish up the rest of them tomorrow.

Wed. Oct. 11. = Phys. Ed. and Music, Poetry Readings Begin
Thurs. Oct. 12. = Character Assembly 10:00a.m., Poetry Readings Continue
Fri. Oct. 13. = Phys. Ed., Poetry Readings Continue

Poetry Presentation: As our poetry unit wraps up, students have each chosen their own poem to present to the class. Our classroom poetry readings will begin Wed. Oct. 11 and continue into Thursday and Friday. Your child should have brought home a copy of their poem last week to practice reading! 

Wed. Oct. 11

-We had some great poetry readings today by volunteers who were ready to present. The remainder of our poetry reading/presentations will be tomorrow and Friday. 

- Friday is our first school wide Spirit Day. The theme is "When I Grow Up." Students are encouraged to dress like the person they wish to be when they grow up. 

- Homework duotangs are coming home tomorrow. Please read and sign the first page!
