Ask: tell me the different between a repeating and growing patterns. We're moving to how patterns grow by adding 1 or 2, or adding shapes on top or across.

Your child's first narrative - monster story - was completed today. We are working on writing sentences that sequence into an interesting story that keeps the reader wanting more.

So pleased by what I have marked so far of your child's science test.  It seems they studied well.

Out patterned Ostriches turned out fantastic - math, science,and art - all encompassing task.

What are two facts they heard this afternoon about Kangaroos?

A small animal classification quiz happenend yesterday in preparation for Friday's test. It was sent home.

Gym today and music on Friday.

Ask your child about their monster character for their narratives. We are working on taking our ideas to creating interesting sentences that grab the reader's attention.  Starting your story with a sound effect is a great beginning.

As we finish up with repeating patterns, students will be making funny ostriches with various patterns. They will be unique creatures.

Study for science test Friday please


Ask your child:  What is a rule for repeating patterns?  What would be the core?  Can you make an ABC pattern using two attributes?  These are the math terms students need to understand and use.

We are also discussing ways humans help or harm animals.  We've talked about vets helping out. What else?
