Music tomorrow

Any indoor shoes need to come back please for in class and gym again Wednesday.

Welcome back - it was so great to see everyone's happy faces this morning. A quick review of the rules and students got well on track. We have almost everyone still in a group and not rows, so keep up the good work!

Today we wrote about why grandparents are important to us and started Marker Monday. Ask your child what that is all about.

One day left of school!

I was away today but will be back for tomorrow our last day. We will travel one last time before putting our passports away.

Dress up:   christmas sweater, red/green wear, or christmas pjs - lots of ideas to be festive on our last day of 2019

Dec. 17

Only 4. 5 hours to Mexico today!!! We learned all about the Three kings day celebration on January 6th.

Their indian art - Rangoli is coming home as well.

Talk about how the celebration in India is different from Mexico and how they are the same. Compare then our Christmas with Mexico.

Festive dinner tomorrow!! I love that we will be in the gym sharing a hot meal together. Feel free to dress nicely for this event and off to Australia we will be travelling.

Sorry to be late responding. I actually thought I did this.

A great day for travelling across the world. Your child has created a passport to allow them to travel with me around the world to see how other children celebrate and what traditions they have.

First stop was after a long 15 hour flight. We managed to arrive to India, Asia and learn all about their festival of lights.  It is their end of harvest celebration like our Thanksgiving.

We tasted some fried bread and Tuesday, today, we will be making a rangolia - famous designs made all around the cities out of coloured powder and sand (we'll use pastels for the bright colours).

Then our plane will take off again for a short 4 1/2 hour ride. Wait and see!

Dec. 13

2D had a fantastic dance. Students danced, ate, and behaved so very well.

Some students still have their family tree to finish filling out. Due Monday please.

Gateway Band will be doing a concert Monday last block.
