Monday, Nov. 19

  1. Report Cards came home tonight. Please double check your meeting time with me.
  2. "o" words for studying. We'll be concentrating on this rule for our reading and writing.
  3. Music class
  4. Ask your child about our preparations today for tomorrow's S.T.E.M.
  5. We are having a guest tomorrow.  Can you remember who we invited? We were wanting to learn about this job which we are fortunate enough to have in our town. Stay tuned. . . 

Nov. 14

  1. Homework being sent in red duotangs. Please make sure your child completes homework by Monday.
  2. Guest teacher tomorrow. Please review with your child the expectations for good, positive and helpful behaviours for a guest.
  3. Library and health class
  4. Our S.T.E.M. activity was to build a trap for a ferocious bear... talk to your child about how their group constructed a trap.
  5. Camo and orange day Friday.

Nov. 13

  1. 2D did such a fantastic job performing their song "Courage" with 3/2K today at the assembly.
  2. Scrabble activity coming home to do with their last four spelling words. Study the "i" words. Also, talk about what words rhyme from the list and can you add other words that rhyme too?
  3. Ask your child to describe their character Grug for their adventure stories they are writing.
  4. Gym with Mr. Hanna-Jones

November 11

  1. We will be performing at Tuesday's assembly - the song 'courage'. Assembly starts at 9:40.
  2. Spelling test and math quiz on patterning were sent home Friday. Your child will be learning about geometric and number growing patterns next.
  3. As excellent guest speaker last Thursday, Corporal Neri who spoke to us about the training soldiers do for many different events around the world, not just war. We had a chance to see and try on all of the equipement he uses.
  4. Gym is tomorrow.
  5. Have your child retell his/her story plan for an adventure Grug will be going on . We'll begin our narrative writing tomorrow.

  1. Picture retakes happen Thursday.
