Sorry for writing so late - gymnastics night!

Tomorrow is dress in blues

Gym and health classes

We will be building ramps and having team car races measuring distances using the non standard object of floor tiles.

Will this additional two weeks away from school it is very important your child:

writes every day (be creative, they know list, letters, stories, procedures, etc) - penpals, journal, write me a letter, list making, creative stories, etc.

reading every day (comics, instructions to play a game, books, read a novel together and discuss characters their traits and feelings, make connections, and retell what has happened each time you go back to reading.

math drills of adding and subtracting facts to be quick

Congrats to Ben who moved on to the next level of public speaking this past weekend, placed 1st!  He moves on. Good luck.

music class

we have been writing persuasive letters to convince me how students can celebrate their reading goal of 20 minutes independently 

The winners are: Darcy (cars) and Ethan, Jacob P and Cason's group for listening to music through the day.

so Friday - wear blue for a spirit day, we will be having music throughout the day, and teams will be creating a ramp that will allow your car to go the furthest

I hope your child comes home with news about their work on persuasive writing. 

Students continue to work on measurement - comparing the differences between themselves and their partner's arm length, waist, etc.

Gym and dance tomorrow.

They have had two days of guest teachers. I hope they are been following the class rules and working cooperatively with their peers.
